The Doss welcomes its new Marketing and Events Manager Lorraine Crutcher who brings with her 10 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, community activity planning and fundraising to the local Texas history museum and event center.
She is a graduate of Tarleton State University in Stephenville where she earned her BBA in Marketing. She also has experience in banking, public relations and marketing in a 13-county region, and worked part time as a freelance event planner and florist. Part of her responsibilities in past positions was presenting in front of civic clubs, schools and company employees.
“These skills will help us get the word out about the programs, exhibits and event spaces available for rent at the Doss,” said Dean Hungate, Director of the Doss Heritage and Culture Center. “She comes to us from Mineral Wells, so she already knows the area and has experience planning events herself, which is one reason she was brought on board.
Hungate said it will give clients a seasoned professional to work with to plan their successful events at their facility.
Never miss a local story.
“She knows what’s needed for a great event so there is no learning curve,” he said. “She also has experience presenting in front of groups, working with community organizations and fund-raising. She was the total package we were looking for.”
Crutcher has been active with the Mineral Wells Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador, is an active board member for the Salvation Army Palo Pinto County and is a member of the City of Mineral Wells Library Board. She is also fluent in Spanish. Her previous experience was with Archstone Dental Offices where she served as its Regional Orthodontic Benefits Coordinator and also as a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator.
