STILLWATER, Okla.

Freshman Josh Watson from Arlington Martin went 3 for 5 and knocked in four runs, leading a 13-hit TCU attack to help the Horned Frogs to an 11-6 victory over host Oklahoma State in Big 12 baseball on Saturday.

The victory evened the series at 1-1 after the Cowboys’ 9-0 victory in the opener on Friday.

It also helped TCU take a two-game lead over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 baseball race. The Frogs also picked up a game on league-leading Texas Tech, which fell to Texas 7-4 on Saturday.

The Red Raiders are 12-2, two games ahead of TCU (28-9, 10-4).

Trailing 2-1 after three innings, the Frogs regained the lead with two runs in the third inning. They added two in the fourth and two in the sixth to take a 7-2 lead, then added four more in the eighth to pull away.

The Cowboys (24-14, 8-6) chipped away at the deficit by scoring once in the eighth and three in the ninth, but the Frogs had built too big a lead.

Luken Baker had two hits and two RBIs for TCU.

Dalton Horton improved to 7-0 after giving up just two runs on five hits.
