Cleburne posts big fourth quarter to overwhelm Everman

Why Cleburne won: Cleburne had a two-point lead after three quarters, but outscored Everman 15-0 in the final quarter to take a 34-17 decision in a District 9-5A opener at Yellow Jacket Stadium.

Key players: Cleburne senior quarterback Tre'Von Bradley was 15-of-23 passing for 237 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Everman junior running back Kenneth Johnson had 135 rushing yards on 18 carries, including a 54-yard touchdown run.

Key stat: After only gaining 35 rushing yards in the first half, Cleburne's ground game got going in the second half as the Jackets finished with 199 total rushing yards.

Records: Cleburne 4-0, 1-0 9-5A; Everman 2-2, 0-1.
