Arlington interception seals win over Arlington Lamar

Arlington defensive back Kyron White intercepted an Arlington Lamar pass deep in Colts territory in the final minute to preserve a 17-13 victory Friday at Maverick Stadium in Arlington. A 4-yard touchdown pass from Caelen Day to D’Montae Davis gave Arlington a 14-13 lead in the third quarter. The Colts added a field goal and stopped Lamar from scoring the rest of the way.

Key players: Day passed for 219 yards and a touchdown. Arlington running back Ronterrius Williams rushed for 95 yards and a 19-yard first-quarter score. Lamar’s lone touchdown came on Rashod Polk’s 3-yard run early in the third quarter. Polk rushed for a game-high 107 yards.

Key stat: The Vikings were held to 56 passing yards and intercepted three times by the Colts’ defense.

Records: Lamar 4-2, 2-1 4-6A; Arlington 3-3, 2-1
